I'm Emir Cruz Fernández, and I have had the privilege of studying psychology, theater, literature, art, and languages at renowned institutions such as the CUNY Graduate Center, the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares in Spain, and CALES (the Center for Arabic Language and Eastern Studies) in the city of Sana'a, Yemen. With a Ph.D. in Spanish Golden Age Literature from the Graduate Center, CUNY, I have immersed myself in the worlds of academia and the arts.
As a professor, philologist, actor, and theater director, I have been fortunate to be involved in a wide range of productions, spanning from classical Greek theater to experimental, avant-garde, and modern musical theater. Each endeavor has allowed me to explore my passion for the stage and the transformative power of the performing arts.
Moreover, I am proud to be the author of the acclaimed Muslims of Spain (2023 Firebird and Pinnacle Book Award Winner). Also, I am the author of Marvel Education and of the highly anticipated The Stoic Educator. These literary contributions reflect my dedication to shedding light on historical and educational topics while fostering a love of learning in others.
With an unwavering passion for knowledge and a deep commitment to the arts, I have dedicated my life to sharing the illuminating power of education. It is my utmost joy to inspire others through my work and contribute to the enrichment of individuals and communities alike.
