A Glimpse into Cruz Fernández's literary universe

Cruz Fernández’s fiction is conceived as part of a closed literary cycle rather than as isolated novels. Each work is written to stand on its own while also contributing to a larger moral architecture in which memory persists across time, identities fracture and return, and ethical questions remain unfinished from one life to the next.

He is currently completing a cycle of four novels, including:

  • Glimpse of the Bridge — an apocalyptic reckoning that gathers the moral threads of the cycle
  • Babylon After Midnight — a modern novel of memory, desire, cruelty, and return
  • Diogenes in the Bronx — a dual-timeline novel of duty, reincarnation, and civic inheritance
  • Lair of the First Mother — a matriarchal family saga rooted in myth, oral memory, and Caribbean ancestry

Together, these works are designed to function as a single ethical inquiry, not a sequence of plots.
